I've been away from MG for quite some time, and I apologize. With the number of security issues with PostNuke and the constant spambot attacks, something had to be done with the site. In comes Drupal. I've been using Drupal on several web sites I maintain. Drupal is an incredible tool for a blog/news-style site. I knew Drupal was an excellent fit for MG. The major issue wasn't making the move to Drupal. Moving all of the old content, articles, comments, and users. was the headache. After several import script revisions, we're finally here. Spambots be damned!
There's a new poll up. "If MG were to host another game server, which game should it be?" We're looking to host another multiplayer online game and include stats available here on the web site. Your input may have a direct effect on which game we choose to host!
GameSpy is holding a community-driven contest for the best games of all time. Called Title Fight! The Ultimate Gaming Grudge, gamers can vote for their favorite games and match them against other popular titles. Once a winner of each categories is determined, a last fight will start -- namng the all time best game in all categories. If anything, the idea is pretty interesting. It's definitely worth a look.
MG has a new chat room right here on the site. To use it, click the "Live Chat" link in the main menu. Note that if you have any sort of pop-up blocker installed, you will want to configure it to allow pop-ups from "multiplayergamers.com" or you will not be able to join the chat.
Currently, there's only one room configured for General Chat. Should enough requests come in, I'll create other rooms as well.
I installed several (over 100) flash-based games here on MG. If you're a registered user, the games will keep track of your highest score, and how you rank against the other players. Let me know what you think!

We have new Forums! I finally disabled the old X-Forums system in favor of the new phpBB2 system. The old forums will remain online for a period of time, but posting has been disabled there. I encourage everyone to make use of the new space!

In light of VeriSign's latest insanity, MultiplayerGamers is announcing its support of OpenNIC [alternate link]. Their initiative to form a democratic, member-operated top-level domain provider is a breath of fresh air in these days of the VeriSign monopoly on .com & .net domains.
MultiplayerGamers.com is due for a makeover. As much as we've enjoyed this grey skin on the site, it's time to add some color. We'll be themeing the entire site and retooling a lot of the features on the site.
The most drastic change that will be taking place is in our forums. We'll be switching from XForum to phpBB2 when the redesign is done. The old XForum posts will remain live a little while after for archival purposes, but no future posting will be allowed.
