I'm Still Seeing Breen - A Half-Life 2 Music Video

Paul Marino of the Academy of Machinima Arts & Sciences produced, directed, and edited a music video to the song "So Cold" by "Breaking Benjamin" using the Source engine and Half-Life 2 content. It's definitely a must-see. I'm certainly impressed.

Virtual LANs Over The Internet!

Wouldn't it be great if you could have a private network of computers among your friends or coworkers no matter where the PCs were, or how they were connected to the Internet? You can! Hamachi is a small application that provides exactly that. After installing their client, you're able to create "Virtual LANs" (not to be confused with 802.1q VLANs) between them. Think of it as a virtual ethernet switch connected to everyone you give permission to connect.

MG'ers, contact me for connection information to the MG LAN. Smiling

I want to thank Doughboy for finding this one.

Star Wars Galaxies: Publish 21, (...a crying hope)

World of Warcraft Map Viewer

If you're a player of Blizzard's World of Warcraft, you'll find this pretty interesting. There's an Open Source application on SourceForge called WoWMapView. It reads the map files from your WoW folder and lets you explore them in 3d space. It has no T&L capabilities, but it's pretty interesting to roam around. I especially enjoyed the Developer Island. Blizzard Nukes 53,928 WarCraft 3 Accounts

Clearing out the "Fog of War" and all of those other cheats don't sit well with the guys and gals at Blizzard. With tremendous help from the Warcraft III community, their anti-cheat taskforce was able to monitor and close exactly 53,928 Warcraft III accounts. Of those accounts, 8,168 users saw their CD keys banned for one month and 3,331 other users will now have to go buy a brand new copy of Warcraft III if they wish to compete online in the future.

The accounts that were closed were done so after careful monitoring. Blizzard has said that the accounts closed were done so after they were carefully monitored and all false reports were trashed without taking any action.
